Ames grew up in Marin County, and moved to New York in his twenties to pursue
a career in real estate, following a lifelong interest in design and building. When
he moved back to California with a family of his own, renovating Bay Area houses became his focus, and he built the core team that became Lucian Design.
As Principal, Ames strives to exceed client expectations, collaborating to transform homes into spaces uniquely suited to individual needs. Born and raised in Sonoma County, Matt gained experience working for a local tile setter. He then built his own company from the ground up, and has garnered over fifteen years of experience. With an incredible work ethic, Matt is a firm believer in doing things right the first time. He relies on his diligence and positive approach to life both personally and professionally, as a manager. Mike Quigley

Mike began his journey as a builder at his grandfather’s side, gaining knowledge and skills as he worked on the construction of some of Northern California’s lodges, including historic Strawberry Lodge in El Dorado County. As a young man, he struck out on his own, becoming an expert on swimming pools before earning his plumbing and electrical licenses. Mike then apprenticed for custom home builder George Kirka, earning licenses as a General Building Contractor and General Engineering Contractor in his own right, nearly two decades ago. Mike’s diverse skill set is matched by his positivity, enthusiasm, and expansive appetite for learning. He is also an avid sprint car enthusiast who enjoys working on his fleet of race cars. Mike prides himself on problem-solving, and brings warmth and building integrity to all projects.

Kody Quigley

Kody began working in construction as a child. What began as sweeping up work sites and playing with homeowners’ pets developed into a career as an actual builder. Kody took a two-year hiatus to become a licensed neuromuscular therapist, and uses his intuitiveness and body awareness to support his attention to detail and active listening skills when relating to clients. Kody’s passion in life is helping people, including event planning and hosting for friends and family. He brings his keen eye and open-heartedness to every project.
